Trip to Hong Kong, Jan 2012

The 'Call of the Wild' opening night was incredible, thank you to everyone who showed up to see the work. I enjoyed talking to everyone all the questions and enthusiasm for the work has been inspiring and a huge encouragement for me. A huge thank you to Carol Sun, the Director of Identity Art Gallery, who organised the opening event and also the team that has been responsible for everything surrounding it. The show has also been expertly curated by Carol who has overall been a pleasure to work with and get to know.

Also: a few photos I took whilst out and about: Pictures

I stayed in Hong Kong for a week so I had plenty of time to explore the other galleries around Hong Kong. I'd been looking at gallery websites and event listings online for so long that it was great to experience it all for real. I've put together a selection of the places I went to below. The Chinese New Year celebrations meant a few of the spaces were closed but it was still nice to see where all the galleries were located - there's a whole art scene based around Hollywood Rd and Central HK - and get a feel for the art scene in general.

Call of the Wild will continue to show until 3rd of March.
